(1) Vendor needs to provide self–insured workers compensation program legal services to the government authority located in Maine.• Provide legal advice, counsel, services, and consultation to the department on a variety of workers’ compensation matters. • Answer requests for legal opinions, in writing and verbally. • Prepare written legal opinions at the request of the department. • Appear before the workers’ compensation board and supreme judicial court to represent the department’s interests. • Engage in litigation–related matters, including discovery, court attendance, mediation, hearings, and similar activities to represent and defend the department’s interests.• Work cooperatively and in coordination with the office of attorney general as needed.(2) All question must be submitted no later than September 11, 2026.(3) A contract period will be for one year.
