Fabricate and Install Utility Service Bodies

The County of Sacramento is soliciting bids for a contractor to fabricate and install five (5) nine-foot utility service bodies on five (5) brand new, County-owned, ten thousand (10,000) pound GVWR, single rear wheel, regular, extended and crew cab and chassis units. Brand new cab and chassis units will be provided to the successful bidder (contractor) as described within these written specifications and as delivered from the manufacturer with no modifications or preparations to accept the bodies. The body builder will be responsible for all modifications and installations related to the mounting of the bodies onto the chassis, and all other mechanical and electrical modifications and installations necessary to make all body accessories and equipment fully operational. Any equipment, modifications, parts, and labor not specifically outlined within these written specifications, but necessary to meet the specification requirements and to make the unit fully functional shall be included. The completed units will be used by the County of Sacramento as municipal utility service trucks. NOTE: Due to limited chassis availability, some or all units may be ordered as all-electric chassis from various manufacturers. See Service Body Specifications attached to this Request for Bids.
