This project is located on FAI 57 (I-57) at IL-17 interchange in Kankakee. Work consists of reconstructing the interchange to provide a single point urban diamond interchange. The proposed interchange will accommodate a future six lane section on I-57. Bridges SN 046-0006 (NB) and SN 046-0007 (SB) will be replaced with SN 046-0154, and SN 046-0005 carrying the KBandS RR over I-57 with SN 046-9904. The work consists of reconstruction of 1.6 miles of I-57, and 0.73 miles of IL 17. Work includes pavement reconstruction, retaining walls, noise walls, sign structures, drainage replacement, traffic signals, and other associated items. (Kankakee)
