(1) Vendor needs to provide school nurse services to the government authority located in Washington, DC.– The responsibilities, qualifications, deliverables, and performance expectations for a Licensed School Nurse (LSN) or Registered Nurse (RN) contracted to provide on–site health services– Daily Health Office Operations- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked health office. - Assess, treat, and document student illnesses and injuries in accordance with established protocols.- Administer first aid for minor injuries and refer students for emergency or follow–up care as appropriate.- Determine when a student is too ill to remain in school and facilitate parent/guardian notification and pick–up.– Medication Administration- Administer prescription and over–the–counter medications in strict accordance with state law, school policy, and physician orders.- Maintain current, signed parental authorization and physician orders for all medications kept on campus.- Store all medications securely per applicable regulations.– Chronic Disease and Health Condition Management- Develop, implement, and annually review Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) for students with chronic or complex health conditions, including but not limited to:○ Asthma○ Type 1 & Type 2 Diabetes○ Severe allergies and anaphylaxis risk○ Seizure disorders / Epilepsy○ Cardiac conditions(2) The contract period will be for one year.
