MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT - GOLDEN HILL STREET

The City of Bridgeport, through its Office of Planning and Economic Development (OPED), is seeking proposals from qualified developers for the acquisition and development of the “Golden Hill Street” project site. Located at 157 – 171 Golden Hill Street, the project site is approximately 9,147 square feet (0.21 acres) in size and is located two blocks from the Bridgeport Intermodal Transportation Center. This airy, light-filled parcel is nestled into the gentle slope of Golden Hill, providing 360 degrees of visibility and a historic, transit-oriented location on one of the most attractive streets in all of Downtown. Development proposals should comply with the zoning design controls and site development standards described in the Zone Bridgeport code and accompanying Zone Bridgeport Map . Proposals should also align with the objectives of the City’s Plan of Conservation and Development, Plan Bridgeport . The City seeks dynamic, transit-oriented redevelopment that: Enhances the Downtown neighborhood; Encourages pedestrian and transit accessibility; Developers with a strong track record of transformative projects are encouraged to respond. The selected proposal will balance aesthetics, economic viability, and long-term community benefit.
