GIS-1920 - USA (California) - Bat Roosting Habitat Suitability Analysis Service - Deadline July 24,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide bat roosting habitat suitability analysis service.• The selected consultant will be required to review existing reports and data detailing known bat roosting habitat and bat species observations within agency sphere of influence• The consultant will develop a Habitat Suitability Assessment (HSA) map and a report to guide innovative approaches in assessing bat habitat suitability and identifying appropriate and meaningful mitigation efforts if/when bat habitat is impacted by project activities.• The consultant will review species observation data from the Mispen special status species database, district–wide surveys, NABat data, site specific surveys, as well as fine scale vegetation mapping, and other GIS layers– Public domain GIS layers to be obtained by consultant• Some variables may be accessible through public repositories such as NABat, CNDDB, Pacific Veg Map, or PRISM• Aspect• Canopy cover• Canopy height• Elevation (digital elevation models/digital surface models)• Fine–scale vegetation maps– Internal GIS layers to be provided agency•  Preserve Service Roads, Ranch Roads, and Trails• Bat observations and known roost locations• Fuel management polygons• Others at the request of the selected Consultant, as deemed necessary• Prevention or minimization of human–caused and accelerated impacts, including erosion, invasion by non–native species, disruption of the natural flow of water, degradation of water quality, trampling of vegetation, and displacement of wildlife• Protection and restoration of known rare, endangered, special status species and sensitive habitats, as well as seriously degraded or deteriorating areas• Monitor changing conditions and the effectiveness of resource management practices(2) The contract period will be for one year.(3) All the questions must be submitted no later than June 30, 2026(4) Mandatory Pre–bid meeting will be held on June 23, 2026
