For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing. Sociedade Nacional de Transporte de Energia now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the construction of 2 Classrooms blocks, Latrines, Water supply systems, Maternity waiting house, Maternity and Neighborhood circle in the provinces of Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane, divided in 5 lots as shown in the table below: LOT DESCRIPTION LOCATION Minimum Contractor’s License 1 2 Classrooms blocks (23 units), Latrines (12 un), and Neighborhood circle (1 un) Maputo 6 Class 2 2 Classrooms blocks (17 units), Latrines (14 un) and Maternity waiting house (1 un) Gaza 6 Class 3 2 Classrooms blocks (6 units), Latrines (4 un) and Maternity (1 un) Inhambane 6 Class 4 Water supply systems (10 units) comprised of borehole, tower and fountain Maputo and Gaza 5 Class 5 Water supply systems (8 units) comprised of borehole, tower and fountain Inhambane 5 Class Bidding will be conducted through local competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” 7th edition September 2025 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
