(1) Vendor needs to provide lab request management software.• To procure and implement a purpose–built, secure, and configurable Forensic LaboratoryRequest Management System.•The ideal system will feature seamless, bi–directional integration with the agency current Records Management System along with the technical capability and API specifications to support a future RMS transition, provide robust data migration capabilities from existing legacy systems (including FileOnQ), offer transparent workflow tracking and reporting, and provide secure internal and external user portals to enhance operational efficiency, security, and accreditation readiness.• The proposed system shall:– Integrate with the Police Department’s current RMS.– Be an off–the–shelf solution that is built or well–suited for forensic science workflows.– Manage laboratory requests from inception through completion using configurable andtransparent workflows.• Functional Requirements– Integration Requirements– The system shall:– Provide bi–directional integration with City’s RMS.– Support CJIS–compliant interfaces for secure data exchange.– Import and export data via API using standardized formats (NIEM, XML, JSON).– Allow field–level data mapping from RMS to the laboratory management system.• Reporting and Analytics– The system must include a comprehensive reporting suite capable of generating:– Customizable reports (case volume, turnaround time, backlog, statistical analyses).– Dashboard visualizations for supervisors and managers.– Searches utilizing any field contained within the system.– Ad hoc query–based reports.– Exportable outputs (CSV, Excel, Word, PDF) with preserved formatting.(2) The contract period will be for one year.(3) All the questions must be submitted no later than September 1, 2026.
