(1) Vendor needs to provide open space plan development service to the government authority located in Winthrop, ME.– Task 1: Public Participation• Develop a public outreach plan. The selected consultant should anticipate organizing at least one community meeting early in the process. – Members of the agency Conservation Commission and Town staff are available to assist with public meetings.• Conduct stakeholder interviews.• Develop summaries of public input.• Provide the Town with information on activities related to the Plan’s development for posting on the Town’s website and its Facebook page.Task 2: Resource Identification and Recommendations Addressed• Identify and map conserved lands, forests and farmland, high–value wildlife habitat, agricultural soils of statewide importance, recreational trails and lake access points.• Review and address recommendations in the 2024 Comprehensive Plan pertinent to development of an Open Space Plan.(2) The contract period will be for one year.(3) All the questions must be submitted no later than October 2, 2026.
