Travers Creek Bridge Replacement on E. Manning Avenue The work to be done consists, in general, of removing and replacing the structurally deficient two-lane bridge with a bridge that will accommodate four lanes and will be striped for two lanes, with a width of 77.5 feet and length of 64.5 feet. The Travers Creek Bridge on Manning Avenue (Bridge No. 42C-0175 / 42C) is located near the city of Reedley, approximately 0.6 miles west of Alta Avenue. The new bridge structure will consist of precast, prestressed concrete, voided slab with a concrete deck supported on concrete abutments and Cast-In-Drilled Hole piles. The work also includes installing concrete barriers, guardrail system, and channel slope protection. The project will also reconstruct a total of 1,144-feet length of asphalt concrete approach roadways and re-stripe the pavement. Drainage swales and pipes will be installed at the roadsides of the approachways and erosion control items will be installed on disturbed areas.
