The Riverside County Purchasing Department, on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff's Office (RSO), is seeking a Request for Quote (RFQ) for essential services. These services include maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, parts replacement, and support for material handling and facility equipment. Riverside County, established in 1893 from portions of San Bernardino and San Diego counties, is the fourth-largest county in California, covering over 7,300 square miles. With a dedicated workforce of more than 4,000 law enforcement professionals, the Riverside County Sheriff's Office is committed to serving Southern California's diverse communities with integrity, professionalism, leadership, and loyalty. The Riverside County Sheriff's Office detention centers: Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside, Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning, Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta, John Benoit Detention Center in Indio, and Blythe Jail operate 24/7. These centers rely on complex logistics for inmate management, supply distribution, and sanitation. Regular maintenance and prompt repairs on their material handling and support equipment are essential to ensure smooth operations, safety standards, and regulatory compliance. The County is seeking qualified and certified bidders capable of providing the aforementioned services under this RFQ. Those interested must meet specific certification requirements that include, but are not limited to, the following equipment: Electric Forklifts Internal Combustion (IC) Forklifts Reach Trucks Electric and Manual Pallet Jacks Industrial Batteries Battery Charging Systems Aerial Work Platforms (Scissor Lifts) Floor Scrubbers Related Material Handling and Support Equipment Bidders who are awarded the contract will be required to obtain a Level One security clearance through the Sheriff’s Office. This process necessitates the submission of information pertaining to all technicians and service personnel prior to granting access to any Sheriff's facilities.
