(1) Vendor needs to provide affordable housing special counsel services to the government authority located in Old Bridge, New Jersey.– Appoint special counsel to work with the township attorney and provide legal services to the township in connection with affordable housing matters, including related litigation.– Responsibilities will include working with the township officials in connection with the township’s fourth round affordable housing requirements and compliance.– Defend the township in any related affordable housing litigation, including defending any challenges to the township’s fourth round housing element and fair share plan, and representing the township in connection proceedings and hearings associated with the court filings and the approval process for the fourth round.(2) The contract period will be for one year.
