Vendor needs to provide veterinary services for police canines to the government authority located in Salt Lake City, UT. – Provide veterinary services necessary to maintain the health of canines in the City Police K–9 program.• Provide specialized veterinary primary and preventative health care.• Provide services such as standard veterinary care to include yearly examinations, vaccinations, injury prevention and treatment, diagnostic and medication, radiology, surgery, laparoscopic surgery, dental services, orthopedics, laboratory diagnostics, possible euthanasia, and related services.• Provide 24/7 emergency services and priority admission for K9’s injured in the line of duty.• Maintain sufficient and qualified staff to handle the specialized medical needs of the canines. Personnel providing services shall receive all necessary training in the area of canine care.• Maintain up–to–date and adequate equipment necessary for health care for medium–sized canines.• Maintain detailed and accurate records of the canines’ current medical conditions and histories of care provided and scheduled care.• Provide clean, individual holding areas with supervision in the event an extended stay is required.
