Continuing Professional Engineering Services: Water Resources Program

Description
The primary goal of this contract is to assist the City in developing, managing, and implementing long-term projects for water supply and water resources development. These projects will generally include: potable (drinking) water distribution and treatment facilities and associated infrastructure; stormwater detention/retention ponds; flood control structures; facilities for stormwater supplemental treatment/pollutant removal; groundwater recharge facilities; wastewater collection and treatment facilities and associated infrastructure; and effluent disposal systems, such as, reclaimed water treatment, storage, and distribution systems; supplemental effluent treatment facilities; restricted public access slow-rate land application systems; man-made wetlands; lake augmentation systems; rapid infiltration basins (RIBs); injection wells; aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) wells; and dedicated supplemental wells for reclaimed water systems. The projects may also include other reuse augmentation and mitigation systems utilizing stormwater, groundwater, surface water, potable (drinking) water, or wastewater, as well as, hydraulic modeling, permitting, compliance monitoring, and overall management of the Water Resources Program. This contract will include the following major elements: A. Water Resources Planning B. Groundwater and Surface Water Modeling C. Hydraulic Modeling and Data Management D. Permitting and Compliance E. Water Resources Program Implementation F. Design of Water Resources Projects Related to Permitting G. Construction Administration Services for Water Resources Projects Each of these contract elements will be delivered through professional engineering services. These services will require a broad range of technical expertise and resources that must be delivered in a timely and highly responsive manner. The engineering services will consist of multiple task authorizations (contract amendments / work orders) for the period of the contract.
