Vendor needs to provide state and federal lobbying services to the government authority located in Ann Arbor, MI. – The services of an agency or agencies to help coordinate and assist with lobbying activities at the state and/or federal level.– Develop and maintain relationships with elected and appointed members of state/federal government, and other governmental partners key to advancing the city’s interests; – Monitor federal/state legislative and regulatory issues with potential impact to the City consult and advise on these issues as needed with city leadership.– Represent and advocate for the City on specific projects, issues, funding opportunities and legislation. – Develop, at the direction of the City Administrator and in coordination with the City Council, a plan identifying the city’s annual policy objectives, regulatory needs, and funding needs that could be achieved through lobbying activity. – Develop, at the direction of the City Administrator and in coordination with the City Council, a list of capital projects that could be financed with funding support through government funding opportunities such as earmarks, legislative action, grants, or other opportunities – Handle all logistics related to City officials testifying at hearings, meeting with legislators or members of executive agencies or administration, or participating on policy work groups sanctioned by the government. – Coordinate annual legislative and governmental services events.
