(1) Vendor needs to provide ambulance billing services.– Billing service, such as method of billing, initiation of billing procedures, application for, and timetable for, the respective applications for provider numbers for Medicare and Blue and Cross Shield, and Medicaid. – The billing service shall subscribe to an established insurance verification service and activity use it as part of their processes and procedures.– The billing service shall delegate an authorized representative for receiving notices and day to day contract administration.– Billing service must provide a web–based reporting system to allow client’s to login and run reports at their discretion.– The billing service shall insure that phones are answered by a trained billing specialist who can help the caller promptly, competently, and courteously.– The billing service will collect accounts receivable.– Providing ambulance billing services to municipal or comparable public EMS providers.(2) The contract period will be for three years.
