(1) Vendor needs to provide community engagement services.– Responsible for developing a state plan and approving grant projects and other activities to carry out objectives in the state plan.– Develop inclusive community opportunities in facets of community life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Alabama– Develop inclusive community opportunities in facets of community life for a subpopulation of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (e.g., residents of rural areas) and their families– Increase access to community supports (e.g., assistive technology and related resources) that facilitate community participation and engagement– Inform the public about barriers to community engagement and/or unmet needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities so that communities can be more accessible and responsive to the needs and concerns of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families(2) All questions must be submitted no later than October 13, 2026.
