This small procurement process is issued to solicit proposals from qualified vendors to supply Specification for Fiber Optic Cables this specification establishes uniform requirements for the design of fiber optic cables to be installed in the overhead transmission and distribution line, and underground telecommunications facilities for the LUMA system. The criteria provided in this specification, along with the applicable codes, design guidelines, regulations, and references, shall be used in the design of aerial optical ground wire (OPGW), all-dielectric self-supporting (ADSS) cable, and all-dielectric fiber optic cable (ADFO), used for "Lashed Aerial Fiber Optic Cables" for installation on overhead transmission, sub transmission, and distribution lines, and underground facilities. These criteria will provide consistency and standardization in design throughout LUMA's system. Revisions to these criteria shall be approved by the LUMA IT /OT Standards Group.
