The annual budget is $1.4B with 2,330 employees and 600 contracted partners.&nbsp; The Department includes 13 divisions and teams, Health Administration which includes Finance, LEAP Institute and Communications, Health Information Technology, San Mateo Medical Center, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, Public Health Policy and Planning, Family Health, Correctional Health, Emergency Medical Services, Environmental Health Services, and Aging and Disability Services.&nbsp; Our mission in action includes protecting public health by preventing disease through health programs, monitoring the environment, and promoting community health, as well as serving as a robust safety net by providing a continuum of health care services serving our most vulnerable residents.
