SHORELINE PROTECTION ENGINEERING, PLANNING, DESIGN, AND CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION SERVICES INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONTRACT

The City of Norfolk Department of Public Works is seeking proposals from qualified professional engineering firms to provide services on an as-required basis. The City intends to enter into an annual, renewable agreement with the firm selected to provide these services. Other related government organizations or agencies may be allowed to issue Work Orders under this Contract, as permitted by the City. The City will provide a scope of services for each specific request for onshore/offshore profile surveys, feasibility studies, conceptual planning, design, permitting, and construction administration services for shoreline protection engineering services at various locations throughout the City of Norfolk. A request for services may include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following: Onshore/offshore profile surveys of the shoreline in the Willoughby Spit/Ocean View area or other areas; Shoreline modeling and analysis, including coastal resilience; Design, permitting, construction, and monitoring of beach nourishment projects; Design, permitting, construction, and monitoring of shoreline restoration and shoreline protection projects; Projects involving public/private partnerships; Repair, rehabilitation, upgrade, or replacement of existing shoreline infrastructure; Engineering and consulting services related to design documents requesting Federal or State participation.
