(1) Vendor needs to provide assessing services to the government authority located in Lyman, ME. • Provide professional assessing services on a part–time contractual basis. • Provide municipal assessing services and be responsible for administering a fair and equitable property tax assessment program in accordance with law and accepted assessment practices.• Administer and maintain the municipal real and personal property assessment program.• Conduct property inspections and field reviews as necessary.• Perform annual valuation updates and market adjustments to maintain equitable assessments.• Review and process building permits and property changes affecting assessed value.• Defend valuations before appeal authorities and courts when necessary.• Prepare and submit all reports required by Revenue Services• Assist with ratio declarations and state valuation processes.• Assist with preparation of the annual tax commitment.• Provide guidance and recommendations to municipal officials on assessment–related matters.(2) The contract period will be for one year.
