Bid #26049 - Beacham WTP Lagoon Cleanout: Phase 2
Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County, GA / Public Utilities
Description
This is a lagoon dredging bid project for the JG Beacham Water Treatment Plant. Its lagoon collects sludge from the filtration and sedimentation treatment process which has not been dredged since 2018. Last dredging removed 6328 dry tons. It is not anticipated that the sludge is a hazardous waste as defined by federal and state regulations. There will also need to be dewatering and hauling services for solids as well. Facilities and equipment should be provided as necessary to move personnel and equipment to and from the work site to setup temporary offices, to install any temporary utilities (including electrical power and water for the dewatering equipment and construction trailer), to prepare the site for the work, to demobilize, and to clean up the site upon completion of the work.
