  "summary": "<p>The Department of Public Works is soliciting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide design and engineering services to replace the County's existing access control system with a new centralized, open-architecture electronic access control system at 40+ County locations (See <a href=\"https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/smcgov/projects/84940/document?section=763297\">Attachments</a> for Existing Equipment and Inventory Counts). &nbsp;Services provided by the selected firm shall also include: survey, documentation, schematic and design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction support for the project. Services shall be inclusive of labor, materials, equipment, management, coordination, <span style=\"background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\">travel</span>, and other requirements for complete and thorough work.</p><p>The project will consist of 2 Phases:</p><p>Phase 1 - Design &amp; Engineering Services</p><ol><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ol><li>Investigation and review of the County's existing sites, systems and equipment, Stakeholder coordination &amp; data gathering</li><li>50% Schematic / Construction Design Documents</li><li>95% Construction Design Development Documents</li><li>Contract Documents submission, Obtain final approval from Building Department and local Fire Authority.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ol></li></ol><p>Phase 2 - Bidding &amp; Construction Support Services</p><ol><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ol><li>Bidding support services</li><li>Construction support services</li><li>Final Project Close Out / O&amp;M Reviews</li></ol></li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>",
