Pre-Apprenticeship in Career Education Instruction and Placement

Purpose of Proposal : The Computer Science and Radio and TV Production Pathways at PHS and PASE seek a Vocational Training Partner Provider with US Department of Labor Certified Registered Apprenticeship Certification and experience, and NJ DOL Pre-Apprenticeship experience, to train PHS pathway teachers and provide additional instruction for 30 High School Seniors in these pathways, and place these 30 students in stipended internships in their fields of computer technology and digital media. This instruction and these placements are designed to qualify completers at a 90% success rate in obtaining: --Registered Apprenticeships through the Provider, or elsewhere through their referrals; --Jobs in their field earning $16hour or more; or --acceptance into career track post secondary coursework.in their field.
