City is requesting bids for the purchase of PURCHASED GOODS/SERVICES . The proposed equipment shall be new, unused, supplied with factory warranty, the latest production and as furnished to RESPONSIBLE DIVISION , in general. The City of Moreno Valley Electric Utility (MVU) invites qualified suppliers to submit quotes for the purchase of multiple reels of 1000 Aluminum Underground Medium Voltage Distribution Cable. The utility seeks cable options with XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene) or EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) insulation, available in 100% insulated or 133% insulated configurations. In addition to 1000 Aluminum cable, MVU is also open to purchasing 1100 Aluminum cable in the same reel lengths if the price is comparable. Vendors that supply 1100 Aluminum cable are requested to also include pricing and lead times for this variety in their quotes. Vendors who do not supply 1100 Aluminum cable should still provide quotes for the 1000 Aluminum cable. Suppliers are required to quote for cable lengths as specified in the Bid Schedule. If additional cable length is necessary during manufacturing, suppliers must provide pricing for the entire reel as manufactured and delivered. Vendors must indicate estimated manufacturing and delivery timelines. If a vendor can only fulfill a portion of the requested cable within a specific lead time, they must specify the quantity available and provide the estimated timeline for the remainder. The City is looking to purchase the reel lengths of 15kV rated underground distribution cable mentioned, at the size of either 1000 Aluminum, or 1100 Aluminum, and with either 100% or 133% Insulation, delivered by May 1st, 2025. The current estimate which the City expects to issue a purchase order is currently in late January of 2025 to Early February of 2025.
