Re-Bid of Item 1, General Contracting, for the Replacement of the Chiller at Ontario County Jail

ontariocountyny / Department of Public Works

Description

Ontario County is re-bidding Item 1 (from B25049), the General Contracting portion, of the replacement of its chiller at the Ontario County Jail. This project will need to keep the existing CHW system operational, while the replacement is being installed. Once the new system is installed, the old cooling tower and chiller can be demolished and removed. The existing CHW system consists of a 270T cooling tower and Multi-Stack modular chiller, that are both located in the mechanical room. The replacement system is an air cooled chiller being installed on dunnage on the roof, with heat exchangers located in the mechanical room. The cut over of these systems will need to take place during shoulder months.
