Description

The City of Virginia Beach is soliciting statements of interest and qualifications from architect/engineering firms for the provision of solid waste management engineering services associated with operating and closed City solid waste landfills and general City solid waste management issues. These services may include, but are not limited to: regulatory permitting and compliance, leachate control, surface and groundwater quality studies, regulatory monitoring and reporting, landfill engineering, preparation of contract documents, air permitting, monitoring landfill gas, and associated services. Services will be provided under an annual services contract, renewable annually for two additional years for a total term of three years. The maximum amount for any work order is $200,000 with an annual maximum of $1,000,000. There is no guarantee of the amount of work that will be authorized. The successful firm will possess specialized experience in the field of solid waste management engineering, significant experience with waste management regulations, and a history of successful performance on related projects.
