Description
General work description: This is a job order contract, which shall be used to provide the City with a readily available work force for repairs, maintenance, remodeling, or other work to be done according to unit prices. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to , fire sprinkler systems inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair at various City Facilities and Municipal Wharves I & II, as well as Ansul hood and duct protection devices in various facilities. The Contractor shall be responsible for scheduling and performing the work necessary for the proper and efficient operation of the fire sprinkler systems and to maintain the systems at current compliance. Contractor shall provide a trained/qualified craftsperson to evaluate, inspect, test, maintain, and repair the fire sprinkler systems as per all applicable laws, including the Monterey City Code Chapter 9 and the local & state Fire Marshals. The Contractor shall maintain on file all drawings, operating manuals, and the results of all testing and inspection.
