(1) Vendor needs to provide managed azure SQL server DBA services to the government authority located in Washington, DC.– Provide Managed Azure SQL Server DBA Services for Azure–hosted Microsoft SQL Server environments with 24x7x365 support. – Database administration, monitoring, incident management, job, script, process monitoring, performance optimization, HA/DR support, security administration, maintenance, reporting, and continuous improvement.• Staffing and Coverage Requirements– Provide sufficient qualified resources for 24x7x365 coverage. • Database Administration Services– Installation, configuration, upgrades, backup/recovery, security, capacity planning, user administration, and operational support.• Monitoring and Operational Support– Continuous monitoring of SQL Server availability, backups, performance, storage, HA/DR, security events, jobs, scripts, processes, workflows, and automated tasks.• Job, Process, Script, and Task Monitoring– Monitor jobs, scripts, workflows, ETL processes, and automation. Investigate failures, restart where appropriate, troubleshoot, remediate, escalate, and notify task owners as required.• Incident Management– Incident detection, triage, troubleshooting, service restoration, escalation, communications, and root–cause analysis.• High Availability and Disaster Recovery Support– Availability Groups, clustering, replication monitoring, failovers, DR testing, and recovery readiness.• Performance Management and Optimization– Query tuning, execution plan review, indexing, statistics, bottleneck analysis, and scalability recommendations.• Security Administration– Access management, auditing, encryption, vulnerability remediation support, and compliance support.• Patching and Maintenance Services– SQL Server patching, updates, maintenance, integrity checks, backup validation, and upgrades.
