Vendor needs to provide city attorney services to the government authority located in Athens, TN.– Providing a variety of high–quality and timely legal opinions to the city council and city staff.– Attending monthly city council meetings, and occasional called meetings.– Being intimately familiar with the city’s charter, code of ordinances, applicable state and federal laws, and other applicable documents (such as the Employee Handbook, code enforcement processes, etc.).– Providing advice to the city on a variety of legal matters.– Representing the city as city attorney in legal matters.– Serving as the city attorney by prosecuting violations of municipal ordinances.
