NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of San Mateo County Executive’s Office will receive sealed bids for the Stone Pine Cove Farmworker Housing Project – Grading and Site Improvements located at 880 Stone Pine Drive, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019. Pursuant to Section 22036 of the California Public Contract Code. The Project major scope of work includes grading and site improvements for forty-seven (47) manufactured homes units, utility infrastructure, roadways, curb/gutter and sidewalks, playground equipment, site furnishing, landscape/irrigation improvements, off-site traffic improvements, and other items and details not mentioned above but required by the Project Plans and Specifications. The estimated cost for this Project is $6,800,000. Bid documents must be sealed, marked with the project name and project number. All Bids must be received at the office of the County Executive’s Office, 400 Hall of Justice Building, County Center 1st Floor, Redwood City, CA 94063 before 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Bids which are submitted on or after 2:00 p.m. or facsimile bid transmissions will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened on and read aloud. All Bidders must have and maintain a General Engineering “A” Class or General Contractor “B” Class contractor’s license in order for their bids to be considered responsive. This is a Prevailing Wage Rate project subject to compliance, monitoring, and enforcement. Respondents must be Dept. of Industrial Relations (DIR) registered at time of submitting bid. Interested bidders must contact Owner’s Project Manager, Steven McGuckin at c_smcguckin@smcgov.org to be placed on plan holder list and request a link for downloading an electronic copy of the Plans and Specifications. Plans and specifications may also be purchased, at the contractor’s expense. Please contact Owner’s Project Manager, Steven McGuckin, for further information A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Site Inspection and Conference on Wednesday, March 6 2024 at 2:00 PM. will be held at 880 Stone Pine Cove, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019 All attendees are to meet at the Project Site. Attendees must sign in by scheduled time. The County shall have the discretion to bar attendees who fail to arrive by scheduled time from signing in if the circumstances warrant. Before submitting a bid proposal, Bidders shall examine the drawings, read the specifications, the form of Agreement, and other Contract Documents. They shall visit the site of the proposed Project and any work that may have been done thereon. They shall fully inform themselves of all conditions on, in, at, and about the site, the buildings, if any, and any work that may have been done thereon.
