HDPE Piping Materials

The purpose of this solicitation is to procure high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe and fittings necessary for installation of a leachate collection system. The materials will support the reliable collection and conveyance of leachate and shall be suitable for the intended environmental and site conditions. The solicitation is intended to identify qualified vendors capable of providing consistent, high-quality HDPE piping materials that meet the project’s technical specifications and performance requirements. All HDPE pipe and fittings shall be Standard Dimension Ratio (SDR) 17 and manufactured using PE 3408 resin, or an approved equal, meeting applicable ASTM requirements. Pipe and fittings shall be manufactured from pre-compounded resin produced by the pipe manufacturer, containing a minimum of two percent (2%) carbon black for outdoor exposure resistance, and shall be provided by a single manufacturer. Pipe shall be supplied in non-perforated and perforated configurations as specified for the leachate collection system. Perforated pipe shall be factory drilled prior to delivery and shall meet the specified hole diameter, spacing, and row configuration requirements. Vendors should demonstrate their ability to provide materials that conform to the specified standards, dimensions, quality requirements, and manufacturer recommendations.
