(1) Vendor needs to provide security guard services to the government authority located in Rockford, IL.– provide security for the public sector and agency employees in and around agency facilities, parking lots and buses.• The security guard must:1. Be proficient in operating and securing all agency locking systems and must be reliable in thehandling of agency keys. If the security guard loses any keys belonging to agency, theApplicant will be responsible for the cost of replacing all locks at agency.2. Conduct a foot patrol of all agency properties outer perimeters including the bus berthingarea, the inside waiting area of the passenger terminal, agency garage space, agencyemployee administration offices, parking lots and any agency bus regardless of location.3. Be capable of communicating in a professional manner by means of agency radiocommunication system to attendants, dispatchers, supervisors and/or other agencypersonnel.4. Escort agency employees while carrying agency money or other agency items of value.5. Patrol property and employee parking lots throughout shift and when employees arearriving/departing work and escort agency to and from their vehicles when requested.6. Respond to agency employee request for security assistance on buses in the system.7. Know the proper procedure for dealing with any type of security emergency, including knowwho to contact, what information needs to be provided and how the emergency sceneneeds to be prepared until agency management or Police have arrived on scene.8. Be able to physically defend themself or any agency guest, patron, passenger or agencyemployee who needs security assistance.
