Alley Maintenance Services

City of Tucson / EGSD

Description

The City of Tucson, Environmental and General Services (EGSD) provides weekly refuse and recycling services to over 140,000 households per week. In addition, Brush and Bulky (B&B) collection services are provided to over 5,300 households per week. Approximately 33,000 out of the 140,000 households (17%) currently receive refuse and B&B services in alley ways abutting their properties. Providing refuse services in the alleyways require routine maintenance activities ranging from road erosion repairs, trench failures, illegal dumping to overgrown vegetation removal. These maintenance activities are essential for a safe, efficient, reliable, and effective collection of solid waste within these alleyways. EGSD is requesting proposals from qualified service contractors to assist the City of Tucson in maintaining the alleys used for solid waste collection services.
