45th Street Altitude Valve Replacement

Palmdale Water District / Engineering

Description

The District is seeking qualified contractors to remove an existing 16" altitude valve, existing pre-cast vault, and replacing it with a new 24" altitude valve, pre-cast vault, and improvements to the water pipeline and appurtenances at the District's 45th Street Reservoir's site. All work must be coordinated with Palmdale Water District Facilities Department and performed while reservoirs are isolated. The water pipeline improvements around the proposed vault must be completed within an 8 hour period so one of the 45th Street reservoirs can return to operation. The District currently has the 24" altitude valve in the corporation yard for the contractor to install. See the plans for more details of work to be completed.
