South Energy Center, Chiller 202 Major Overhaul

Gainesville Regional Utilities operates the South Energy Center (SEC), located adjacent to Shand's Hospital at the University of Florida. Among other services, the SEC provides chilled water to the hospital. The SEC houses four water chillers. One of the chillers has approximately 52,000 run hours, so it is due for a major overhaul to ensure reliable operation. The chiller in question is a 1,500 ton, Trane CenTraVac. The tentative schedule to complete the major overhaul work is Fall 2026 (no earlier than October 1, 2026). A mandatory pre-bid meeting will occur on Pre-Proposal Date , and bidders will have until Response Submission Date to respond to this solicitation.
