Vendor needs to provide geotechnical engineering services to the government authority located in Storrs, CT. – Perform field explorations consistent with the current applicable standards and the scope of the project, including soils sampling, subsurface investigations, field testing, forensic analysis, and special inspections necessary for the planning and design of the project and for preparation of the Geotechnical Report.– Geothermal testing and well installation/well testing.– Perform subgrade and drainage assessments, stability and foundation assessments, site investigation and characterization assessments to provide determination of constructability and cost effectiveness of a project.– Installation and reading of geotechnical instrumentation.– Analyze information obtained from field explorations and tests/lab results and provide a written report of the findings.– Perform safety evaluation of geotechnical structures (i.e. Dams/Drainage).– Review and prepare comments of proposed new state and federal regulations and make environmental permit applicability determinations.– Advise and provide general oversight services with respect to management of wastes derived from hazardous materials, including regulated building materials (e.g., asbestos, PCBs, lead, radon) resulting from project abatements.
