(1) Vendor needs to provide supplemental transportation services to the government authority located in Placentia, CA.– Public school transportation needs extend far beyond daily home–to–school routes1. Daily Routes: Example, a fleet of standard yellow school buses operating morning pick–ups and afternoon drop–offs based on bell schedules.2. Special Education & McKinney–Vento: Example, providing specialized, often individualized, transportation for students with disabilities (IEPs) or students experiencing homelessness to maintain school–of–origin attendance.3. Athletics & Extracurricular: Example, transporting high school or middle school sports teams, band members, and debate teams to after–school events and weekend tournaments across the region.4. Mid–Day Classroom Field Trips: Example, taking a class or classes to a local venue agency or taking school students to an outdoor ecology lab.5. Vocational & Transition Programs: Example, transporting students to Career Technical Education (CTE) programs or Community–Based Instruction (CBI) sites for life–skills training(2) The contract period will be for one year.
