(1) Vendor needs to provide research projects service to the government authority located in Washington, DC.• Increase water supplies by reducing the costs, energy requirements, and other barriers to adoption of treating impaired water for beneficial uses.• Improve existing desalination and water treatment technologies, including reverse osmosis, electrodialysis, nanofiltration, membrane filtration, pretreatment processes, and ancillary processes/infrastructure.• Develop cost–effective approaches for concentrate management that address feasibility, cost, and/or environmental compliance.• Develop technologies or processes for the selective removal/recovery of target contaminants in conjunction with the development of additional water supplies.• Develop improved technologies or processes for water reuse applications, including process monitoring and control of disinfection byproducts.• Evaluate the use of artificial intelligence to improve existing or emerging water treatment technologies or processes.
