Vertical Turbine Backwash Pump & Motor

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking competitive quotes from potential suppliers to provide a direct replacement of a vertical turbine pump with motor at the Hill Canyon Treatment Plant (HCTP) (9600 Santa Rosa Road Camarillo, CA 93012). The existing pump plays a crucial role in the backwash cycle of the HCTP's tertiary filters. The pump is tasked with handling utility recycled water, characterized by a specific gravity of 0.998 and a viscosity of 1.0 centistokes (cSt). Additionally, the utility water may contain up to seven (7) parts per million (ppm) of chlorination residual. Our objective is to find a solution that can efficiently manage these specific parameters to ensure optimal performance in our wastewater treatment system. This replacement equipment is intended to be an in-kind replacement of the existing equipment to eliminate and/or minimize piping and appurtenance modifications.
