(1) Vendor needs to provide veterinarian services to the government authority located in Yorkville, IL. • Provide licensed veterinarian to provide services for county animal control and serve as deputy administrator in accordance with state statutes.• Provides professional veterinary input on the standards of care, treatment and disease control for animals in the care of animal control.• Ensures compliance with humane methods of the euthanasia of animals.• Performs physical examinations and vaccinations of animals housed at the shelter as needed by the county.• Advise on rabies observation, confinement, quarantine, vaccination status review, exposure follow–up and related protocols.• Assists with dangerous dog determinations in accordance with the animal control act. assists the administrator and county state’s attorney in proceeding with vicious dog determinations.• Examines, documents and treats animal abuse cases, working with law enforcement and other agencies as necessary.• Participates in humane investigations (e.g. documenting and performing forensic examinations, testifying in court, etc.).• Performs adoption examinations to identify health and temperament conditions as needed by the county.• Performs surgical procedures and vaccinations on pets owned by members of the public utilizing the county’s low–income voucher program.• Maintains applicable records.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than July 20, 2026.
