Vendor needs to provide professional legal services to the government authority located in Trenton, NJ. – To provide outside legal services in connection with legal opinions, potential real property acquisitions, litigation, redevelopment matters, and other legal issues associated with ongoing redevelopment and improvement initiatives.– Counsel will be responsible for ordering, coordinating, reviewing, and tracking all required due diligence items, including, but not limited to, appraisals, title commitments, boundary surveys, and environmental assessments, utilizing the County’s pool of approved and qualified vendors.– Counsel shall coordinate with County staff, approved vendors, property owners, title companies, and other applicable parties to ensure that all required due diligence and closing requirements are completed in a timely manner.– These legal services are intended to support the County's economic development and revitalization efforts while enhancing the community for the benefit of residents, businesses, and visitors.– Providing legal opinions and advice concerning redevelopment, real estate, acquisition, and related matters; – Representing the County in connection with potential and approved real property acquisitions; –Serving as the County’s settlement and closing agent for real property acquisitions; – Ordering, coordinating, reviewing, and tracking required due diligence; – Reviewing title commitments, title exceptions, surveys, appraisals, environmental assessments, and related documentation; – Identifying and assisting in the resolution of title defects and other issues that may affect an acquisition; – Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, deeds, easements, licenses, and other real estate documents – Providing legal assistance concerning redevelopment and economic development matters; – Representing or advising the County concerning litigation, disputes, claims, and potential litigation; – Attending meetings and providing legal advice to County officials and staff.
