(1) Vendor needs to provide developing long–lasting healthcare workforce pipelines service to the government authority located in Athens, OH.– Agency seeks proposals for projects to create pathways for agency to explore in–demand health careers in K–12 education settings, initiate learning in high school, continue training close to home (in technical/trade schools, community colleges, or universities with significant rural engagement), and secure careers in health provider settings in Ohio’s non–urban counties.• Expand apprenticeships and work–based learning– Examples include the development and expansion of rural paid or unpaid work–based learning models such as registered apprenticeships, pre–apprenticeships, fellowships, and career placementagreements.– Efforts will prioritize partnerships with employers to ensure programs directly address documentedworkforce shortages and create clear entry points into healthcare careers.2. Launch career exploration activities in rural middle and high schools Examples include immersive hands–on events, camps, and other engagement activities that expose middle and high school students to in–demand healthcare careers.– Programming will emphasize practical career pathways, local employment opportunities, and earlyengagement with healthcare employers.3. Leverage other existing successful programs and scale proven best practices to train and advance workforce– Examples include healthcare credential pathways for graduating high school seniors, introductoryhospital worker programs, hybrid agency and patient care technician models, and behavioral healthtechnician pathways.– Programming will focus on rapid entry pathways tied directly to employment in high–demandoccupations.(2) The contract period will be for one year.(3) All the questions must be submitted no later than September 30, 2026.
