RO2 Injection Well IW-1 Retrofit

A. The project consists of the installation of a flow control valve on the injection well at the City of Clearwater RO Plant No. 2 located at 21051 US-19 Frontage Road N. Clearwater, FL 33765. The flow control valve will replace an existing gate valve on the injection well wellhead as shown on the drawings. B. The scope of this Contract shall include installation of a flow control valve such as the Flow-Tek RF15-316 V60 model 10-inch diameter or equivalent. The actuator would be EIM M2CP-Q5L2-61 120V or equivalent. The operation of the valve will be controlled by an existing PLC within the plant SCADA system. C. The work will also include modifications to the existing control system including the installation of a vacuum/pressure sensor at the injection well, modifications to the existing LCP-2 PLC control panel, installation of a surge protection box at the injection well, installation of new wire and conduit to support the remote monitoring and control of the valve from the SCADA system and other tasks as shown and detailed on the drawings. The Contractor shall provide copies of a current Contractor License/Registration with the state of Florida and Pinellas County in the bid response. The Contractor shall provide 3 [Fixed/Portable] project signs as described in Section III, Section 23 of the Contract Documents. The final number of project signs will be determined at the beginning of the project based on the Contractor’s schedule of work submitted for approval. Additional project signs may be required at no additional cost to the city due to the Contractor’s schedule of work.
