EXTRA-73876 - USA (Concord, Massachusetts) - Open Space and Recreation Plan Update Services - Deadline August 26,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide open space and recreation plan update services to the government authority located in Concord, MA.1. Kick–off meeting:– The consultant will meet with town staff and a designated advisory committee to discuss the goals and priorities of the update, review the scope of work and project timeline, establish communication protocols between the project team and town staff, begin planning for public engagement, and establish a schedule of regular project check–in meetings between the consultant and the town, along with any other topics as may be proposed by consultant and town staff in the leadup to the kick–off.2. Project management:– As a part of the response to this request for proposals (RFP), consultants are requested to provide a preliminary draft project plan outlining the consultant’s recommendations for an approach to complete the open space and recreation plan by spring 2028.3. Community and stakeholder engagement:– The consultant will support the town with communications and outreach support to ensure consistent and transparent communication between the project team and the community. It is essential that outreach includes local land conservation organizations, local recreational groups, bicycle advocates, persons with disabilities, and youth and senior communities.4. Multimedia public engagement coordination:– The creation of notification materials about public meetings, workshops, public hearings and other ways to provide input, including flyers for digital and physical posting, notification language for sharing with newspapers, etc.– Collection of community perspectives through both print and digital surveys to supplement public comment received during public outreach events. This will include the creation of surveys in coordination with the town as well as the analysis of results.5. Preparation of draft plan sections:– The drafts should be user–friendly and provide a balanced mixture of text and graphics (including maps and photographs) to meet state guidelines, accurately describe current conditions, and provide readers with a clear set of open space and recreation goals and objectives for implementation over future years.6. Update needs analysis and action plan:– Based on community feedback, evaluation of environmental and recreation community resources, and population characteristics, the consultant shall identify and gaps in open space and recreation opportunities.(2) All question must be submitted no later than August 14, 2026.(3) A contract period will be for one year.
