Construction Phase Architectural and Civil Engineering Design and Administration Services for Mary E. Griswold and Richard D. Hubbard Elementary School HVAC Upgrade Projects
berlinct / Public Works
Description
The Town of Berlin Public Building Commission (PBC) is seeking qualifications and cost proposals from qualified Architectural and Civil Engineering firms (as one team, with the Architect as the prime) to provide construction administration and limited design services during the construction phase of the HVAC upgrade projects at Mary E. Griswold Elementary School, 133 Heather Lane, Kensington, Connecticut, and at the Richard D. Hubbard Elementary School, 139 Grove Street, East Berlin CT. The construction documents for this project have already been prepared and issued for bidding under Bid Nos. 2025-16 and 2025-17. These documents are available for review through the Town’s OpenGov Procurement Portal as part of the HVAC construction bid packages. The construction projects are scheduled to run concurrently. The selected Architectural /Civil Team will be part of the Owner's consultant team during construction, supporting the Construction Manager (CM), the Commissioning Agent, and coordinating the efforts of the Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) Engineer. The CM will handle the majority of construction administration tasks; the Architectural /Civil Team will provide technical review, field verification, and project support for Architectural /Civil Engineering-specific aspects. The selected consultant will need to bill for work connected with each project separately, due to the reimbursement requirements associated with the State grants.
