Description
The purpose of this program is to develop and implement a program to divert youth and/or adults with mental health or co-occurring disorders who are at risk of criminal and/or juvenile justice involvement to community-based services before arrest or booking.
Eligibility: Eligibility is statutorily limited to States; political subdivisions of states; Indian tribes or tribal organizations (as defined in Section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education and Assistance Act), acting directly or through agreements with public or nonprofit entities; or a health facility or program operated in accordance with a contract or award with the Indian Health Service.
