Vendor needs to provide project engineering service for street reconstruction and water main replacement project to the government authority located in Caro, MI. – Project includes approximately 840 feet (total) of water main replacement and related work including approximately 240 feet along the south side of East Frank Street (old M–24), 200 feet of storm sewer replacement, two sanitary sewer manhole replacements and 460 feet of sewer lining, street reconstruction with new curb and gutter, driveway replacement, ADA ramp replacement, pavement markings and new signage.– Topographic survey to include:• Topographic mapping of Howard Street including Montague Avenue and E. Frank Street intersections and mapping of E. Frank Street from Howard Street to Burnside Street for water main replacement.• Topographic survey will include street pavement, curbing, sidewalks, driveways, buildings, existing watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, trees, fence lines, utility poles, and other miscellaneous features.• Establish project horizontal and vertical control for the topographic survey and future construction.• Research and field work necessary to determine the right–of–way locations along the project limits.• Perform structure inventory of manholes within and adjacent to the project limits.• Merge the topographic survey mapping, manhole inventory, right–of–way and project control into a base map for use in preparing design plans.– Develop preliminary design plans including the proposed street reconstruction, water main replacement, sewer improvements, etc. for review and comment by the city.– Construction Engineering and Administration:• Generate monthly Pay Applications for the city to review and approve.• Generate project Change Orders for the city to review and approve.• Generate Certificate of Substantial Completion and Final Pay Documents for the city to review and approve.• Review material shop drawings to verify conformance with design documents.• Respond to Requests for Information.• Preparation, coordination, and attendance at a pre–construction meeting with agency and selected Contractor. Prepare and issue meeting minutes.
