RFQ for Hernando County Fire Emergency Services Training Facility

Provide overall site master planning, design, permitting, bidding documents and construction administration to plan and construct a new Fire Emergency Services Training Facility. The project shall be designed and constructed in phases as funds become available. To fulfill the operational needs of the Fire and Emergency Services a specific training facility will be constructed. Phase 1 shall consist of a burn tower, small academic structure and support facilities. Future phases will include: driving pad, fire props and possible emergency operations center. The facility must take into account the current and anticipated training needs and functions of both the Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services and the Hernando County Sheriff's Office. The site will require the installation of infrastructure that is able to support and sustain the planned improvements. These include, but are not limited to, water, sewer, electrical, technology and roads, Known environmental issues with the wastewater produced by firefighting activities will be addressed through design. Additional environmental studies shall be conducted to ensure a compatible use is maintained and no flora, fauna or wildlife is impacted.
