(1) Vendor needs to provide worker's compensation administration service.– Workers Compensation Claims Administration• The TPA will provide comprehensive claims administration services for all medical only and lost time claims.• The TPA (Third–Party Administrator) ensure that all claims reported are in compliance with agency reporting guidelines.• The TPA will, in consultation with the City and after making contact with the injured employee and any other individuals with relevant information, make recommendations regarding compensability.• The TPA will work with City designees to calculate indemnity payments.• The TPA will issue all standard and required notifications to injured employees, including initial pay without prejudice letters and extension letters.• The TPA will coordinate and diary all contested claims, litigation and agency notifications.• The TPA will request up–to–date medical reports from health care providers to ensure appropriate medical treatment is being provided.• The TPA will provide guidance to the City on all matters relating to workers’ compensation in accordance with relevant state and federal laws.– Medical Bill Re–pricing and Payment• The TPA will receive all medical bills and review for reasonably related treatment.• The TPA will re–price all medical bills using agency Industrial Accident Board rates, and any other applicable discounts.• The TPA will be responsible for issuing all checks for compensable medical treatment.• The TPA will negotiate surgeries and other medical treatment plans as appropriate.• The TPA will manage any disputed medical service or bill.(2) The contract period will be for one year.(3) All the questions must be submitted no later than August 20, 2026.
